🚀 Getting Started

The Oracle matches cards from your deck list against a Google Sheets inventory of singles for sale. Paste your card list, hit Search, select the copies you want, then generate your buy lists.

You can use The Oracle without signing in — signing in with Google just enables saving and loading your generated lists between sessions.

📋 Step-by-Step

Select your TCG — use the switcher in the header to choose MTG, Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh!, or One Piece.

Paste your card list — one card per line, with or without quantities (e.g. 4 Lightning Bolt or just Lightning Bolt). Or use the bookmarklet to import directly from a deck builder site.

Click Search — the app matches your cards against the inventory and shows all available copies.

Select copies — check the boxes next to the specific prints you want, or use Auto-Pick to select automatically.

Click Create Lists — generates a BL Buy List for inventory cards and a TCG Player list for anything not found.

Sign in (optional) to save your list for later — unsigned sessions work fine, lists just won't persist.

📥 Import Deck to Oracle Bookmarklet

The bookmarklet lets you import a deck directly from Moxfield, MTGGoldfish, or Archidekt in one click — no copy-pasting needed.

Make sure your browser's bookmarks bar is visible (Ctrl+Shift+B on Chrome/Firefox).

Find the 📥 Import Deck to Oracle button in the Cards to Search panel above.

Drag it to your bookmarks bar and drop it there. It will appear as a bookmark named "Import Deck to Oracle".

Now go to any deck page on Moxfield, MTGGoldfish, or Archidekt and click that bookmark. The deck will be fetched and you'll be sent straight back here with the card list ready to search.

📋 Manual Import Formats

If you prefer to copy-paste, all these formats work:

ArchidektExport → Export Type: Text → uncheck all options

MoxfieldExport → Copy for Moxfield

MTGGoldfishExport to Arena → copy everything from Commander section down

Plain textAny 4 Card Name or just Card Name format, one per line

🔎 Match Types

Exact MatchThe card name matches exactly what's in the inventory.

Partial MatchThe inventory has a version of the card under a slightly different name — for example a different printing, alternate art, or regional name variant. The Oracle found it as a close match rather than exact.

Not FoundNo match in the inventory. These cards are automatically added to your TCG Player list.

✦ Print Types (MTG)

Each inventory copy is categorised by its print type, shown by a corner triangle on the card result:

No triangle — standard non-foil print.

Purple triangle — Hologram print.

Rainbow triangle — Foil print.

🎲 Auto-Pick (MTG only)

🎲 Random Prints — picks one random available match per card from any column.

✦ Modest — picks only from Hologram prints (columns C & D).

💎 Blinged Out — picks only from Foil prints (columns E & F).

Exact matches are always preferred. If no copy exists in the target columns, that card is skipped.

💾 Saved Lists

Sign in with Google to save generated lists and reload them in future sessions from the dropdown at the top of the page. Without signing in, everything still works — your list just won't be saved when you leave.

🖼 Card Image Preview

Hover over any match to see a card image preview, if the inventory has a Google Photos link for that copy. Move your cursor onto the popup to keep it open.

💡 Tips

• Set codes and collector numbers are stripped automatically — Lightning Bolt (M10) 146 is treated as Lightning Bolt.

• *F* foil markers are stripped automatically.

• Use the filter buttons (Exact / Partial / Not Found) to focus on a specific result type.

• The BL Buy List is tab-separated — paste it directly into Google Sheets.

• The TCG list uses 1 Card Name format ready for TCGPlayer mass entry.
